We are looking for volunteers to help progress this exciting community project. If you have skills in any of the following areas, we’d love to hear from you.

Create 1–2 Facebook and Instagram posts each week using Canva (or similar). Help keep the community informed, grow engagement, and share the story of the rail trail.

Social Media Manager


Support the team by preparing 8–10 funding applications each year. You'll work alongside the Treasurer and Chairperson, with all the key background information and supporting material provided.

Funding Support


Do you enjoy building relationships? This role involves connecting with stakeholders, councillors, businesses, and community groups, and representing the project at meetings and events across the region.

Communications & Networking


Share your construction knowledge to help guide planning and decision-making for the trail. You won't be responsible for final decisions or liability. However, your expertise will help the team make informed choices throughout the project.

Trail Construction Advisor


We have regular working bees on the Stock Route or SH 56. This includes removing debris, branches, trees, weeds, and mowing.

Our meetings are held at the Rangiotu Hall on the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm. [Jan, March, May, July, Sept. and Nov]
