Connecting the city with the Rail Trail - the Stock Route Story ….
The Stock Route
850 metres of lane way affectionately known as the ‘stock route’ will link PN’s shared pathway at Longburn with our proposed Rail Trail on SH 56’s old railway line.
Cyclists, riders and walkers need a safe off-road transition point between the two trails because the Longburn over bridge is to dangerous for this purpose. Hence, this project to link the city to the country.
This project is the beginning of the city to country journey.
